DataWing SymKey® Auto-Post Module announced.

Using HCIM's SymKey® product and its advanced automation capabilities, the DataWing Auto-Post module will seamlessly integrates with Eligibility Manager® and DataTug™ to post eligibility information updates into EZ-CAP.

Automatic posting features include entry of member notes and four undo events, including "Un-Do Last Termination," "Un-Do Last Re-Enrollment," "Un-Do Last Option Transfer," and "Un-Do Last PCP Transfer." The module is expected to be available in the 2nd quarter of 2010.

Eligibility Manager® Expands Its Reach

Our long-time client Managed Care Systems in Bakersfield, CA was selected by a local 17,000 member employer as their Third Party Administrator to manage EPO and POS healthcare. MCS had a short time-frame to integrate the eligibility data in X12 834 format with their new claims management system. DataWing worked closely with MCS to integrate Eligibility Manager® to provide seamless eligibility updates. According to Wes Rogers, Network Administrator at MCS, "DataWing's response to our needs during the implementation process was superb."

But wait, there's more! Nautilus Healthcare Management Services is an MSO in Newport Beach, CA who manages Greater Newport Physicians IPA. Nautilus was unhappy with their existing tools for reconciling eligibility with their MC400 system. They wanted something easier to use and cheaper to modify, and needed it in a hurry to manage a new IPA client they had just acquired. We were able to get them running with nine plans in their short time frame, including implementation of a variety custom processes.

And we're still moving! We recently signed Affinity Medical Solutions of Redmond, CA as our newest client for both Eligibility Manager® and Cap Check™. We're implementing both applications to reconcile eligibility and cap payments for seven health plans with their IKA Systems database. Their time frame is a little over a month, so no time to write...back to work!

Welcome Tuality Health Alliance, a new Cap Check™ customer

Tuality Health Alliance is in the final implementation phase of Cap Check™ for Plexis Claims Manager; expecting to go live in March 2010.

This implementation expands the technology integrations of Cap Check™ to another Claims Processing System, adding Plexis to the growing number of technology partners for DataWing Software. The Tuality Health Alliance implementation is using the Cap Check™ compatibility for Ansi X12, taking the 820 files received from their health plans and providing the reconciliation of Capitation payments with their eligibility data in their Plexis Claims Manager.

DataWing's New Office

DataWing has moved to the heart of the Hollywood District, on the corner of NE 42nd and NE Sandy. Originally Hollyrood, after the Scottish Holyrood, this area was named after the Hollywood Theater which opened July 17th, 1926.

Back in the 1930s, you could gaze eastward from downtown Portland and spot the huge, flickering sign all the way out on Northeast Sandy Blvd.

DataWing's new office is just east of the theater with a full view of the Hollywood sign. Our restored building was home to Kelley Furniture, has housed a JC Penny Store, piano store, restaurants and his been part of the long history here. See our windows behind the theater in the picture above.

DataTug™ version 1.3 released

Eligibility Manager® and Quantum Choice

DataWing Software is working closely with Plexis Healthcare Systems to integrate Eligibility Manager® with Quantum Choice, their newest claims management system.

In addition, DataWing Software and Plexis have signed a partnership agreement. This will open up the power of Eligibility Manager® to Plexis Quantum Choice users. Plexis customers can now realize the cost savings and accuracy improvements that existing Eligibility Manager® customers have found for years. MedPOINT Management implements Eligibility Manager® X12 Extension Module

MedPOINT Management (Woodland Hills, CA) is the first Eligibility Manager® client to process ANSI X12 eligibility roster files (834) using the X12 Extension Module. Though this technology has been available for several years, payers have mostly continued to provide eligibility rosters in proprietary formats. MedPOINT needed to use the 834 file format from Care1st Health Plan because it provided new and legacy member id formats more cleanly than other available formats from Care1st. Implemented in December 2008, DataWing Software provided a seamless transition to the use of the 834 file format, while incorporating MedPOINT's preexisting business rules when necessary.

Cap Check™ version 3.1 released

Cap Check™ 3.1 is a significant release that greatly enhances the flexibility in configuring contract data for calculating expected payments. Previous versions included three generalized rate structures that covered most types of contracts. The new release allows for user-definable rate calculations. Users can create rate sets with any number of calculation steps. These steps can be drawn from a rich variety of calculation types. In addition, new calculation management tools simplify the testing and debugging of rate calculations.

Cap Check™ 3.1 also includes integration with DataTug™ for real-time eligibility verification, a new audit trail of manual data edits, and other useful features.

DataTug™ version 1.2 released

DataWing Software announces version 1.2 of DataTug™. This new version includes a redesigned user interface, and other changes that allow for more efficient site configuration. In addition, we have expanded the list of available health plans. DataTug™ now processes CSV files as well as Excel and XML files.

The new list of available health plans is: Alameda, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield California, Care1st, Cigna, HealthNet, HealthNet MediCal, Inland Empire Health Plan, LA Care, Medi-Cal (California), Molina, Pacificare, and Scan Healthplan.
