Ron Bissell
Vice President
Ron Bissell joined DataWing Software in February 2007, and was promoted to Vice President in March 2008. As such, Ron is actively involved in all aspects of the business, including customer relations, sales and marketing, strategic planning and project management. Ron is also responsible for helping to grow DataWing by contributing his management and decision-making expertise.
As primary software developer, Ron plays an integral role in bringing new products to market, and was chiefly responsible for the development and launch of DataTug™ – again, a program developed in response to a client's need for improved productivity.
Ron brings to DataWing a background in IT software development, with a decade-long work history in the healthcare field. Over the years, Ron has been responsible for supporting claims, member services, utilization management, and government regulations for such notable companies as McKesson, Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Oregon, Healthcare Resources Northwest, and Family Care.
A graduate of the Oregon State University College of Business, Ron earned his bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems.
In his spare time, Ron is involved in the EZ-CAP Western Region User Group (WRUG), where he's responsible for maintaining the WRUG website. Ron also enjoys outdoor activities, such as golf, tennis and running.
